The Dharma of Motorcycling
Dharma is usually mixed up with religious merit. Dharma is duty. Duty towards whatever is right and proper. This judgement about what is right and proper is not dependent on any law, constitution, or culture. Neither is it a result of our own conscience. Dharma is the leading edge of our awareness. A clear, calm and receptive mind becomes aware of its dharma by itself. Dharma combines ritual and freedom without conflict. In the Mahabharata, Arjun must wage battle against his respected elders. With a mind bound by preconceptions about his ritualistic duties towards them, he could not become aware of his duty towards what was right and needed at that moment. He would not let the leading edge of his awareness lead him. Not until Krishna became this leading edge of awareness for him. Then the decisions came by themselves. |

The importance of detailing your motorcycle
We all love nothing more than our machines. Weather you have a heavy weight cruiser, a lean, mean street bob or a full blown chopper. Stock or custom, American or Import. Weather you're a life long rider or just getting started. There is a special bond forged between rider and machine.
One of the most important things you can do to preserve that bond (and by the way your investment) is to get your bike professionally detailed at least one time per season by a qualified, experienced, detailing specialist. No one thinks twice about getting an oil change, tune up or any other basic maintenance service but for some reason detailing seems to get over looked when early spring and late fall roll around but here are some things to think about when you're contemplating the maintenance regime for your motorcycle.

First Ride in the Mountains
Our first ride in the mountains of North Carolina was the most exciting trip I ever took. We rode our 1995 Anniversary Edition Goldwing from Orlando, Florida to Asheville, NC the latter part of September 1995 for the Wings over the Smokey Goldwing Rally.
Living in Orlando, Florida doesn’t prep you for weather outside of 90 degrees and humid. The first morning we awoke in Asheville it was 41 degrees and raining. Our hopes weren’t dashed! Heck no! We were so excited about being in the mountains on our new bike that I don’t think anything could have ruined our enthusiasm. What was missing however, were proper motorcycle accessories like good rain gear, warm leather jackets, or a proper motorcycle cover to protect the bike from these wet elements. |

Motorcycle Leather Jackets
There is no good way to really start out writing about the topic of motorcycle leather jackets without mentioning the history, or little bit of the background information about the motorcycle jacket as it stands today, giving the generations after its' fashionable push a new way to glimpse the motorcycle jacket as more than just for motorcyclists. Classically motorcycle jackets are tough and usually leather jackets with linings to keep the motorcycle rider warm throughout whatever length their trip goes, and the leather makes the rider able to struggle through the erosive pull of the wind. |

Motorcycle Helmets - Protective headgear used by motorcycle riders
Motorcycle helmets save lives. Motorcycle helmets are protective headgear used by motorcycle riders. The primary goal of motorcycle helmets is to protect the rider's head during an impact. Sometimes helmets offer other conveniences such as face shields, ear protection and even intercom systems.
There are three basic types of motorcycle helmets. There is also a fouth category for motorcycle helmets that encompassing every other type of novelty motorcycle helmets.
The full face motorcycle helmets cover the entire head. They also have a rear that covers the base of the skull and a protective section over the front of the chin. BMW's HP2 Megamoto to Arrive in Showrooms July
To arrive in Motorrad showrooms this month (July) is one of the more interesting new motorcycles of recent times, the BMW's HP2 Megamoto.
Some manufacturers such as Ducati have developed 1000cc plus uber motards as motard motorcycles have grown its importance in the industry and market share. And now here comes the most inexorable and single-minded street bike BMW Motorrad has ever produced. The legendary Boxer-twin powerplant pumps out an admirable 113 bhp with an impressive 115Nm of torque. Built with some remarkably one-of-a-kind composite and metallurgical materials for a street bike, the Megamoto weighs in at just 179kg. It therefore gives the bike a mightily impressive, arm-wrenching power to weight ratio. |
